STEVE MAGNERVarsity Girl's Soccer Coach

Coach Steve Magner is entering his 8th season as Head Coach for the Lady Sentinels. Coach Magner started coaching at the varsity level as an assistant in 2011 where he helped lead ECS to a District Championship and the Regional Final game. Upon taking over the head coaching position for the 2012/2013 season, Coach Magner lead the team to their second straight District Title, a Regional Final Championship, and their first trip to the State Final game.

In each of the following two seasons, the Lady Sentinels finished as District Runners-Up and advanced to the Regional semi-final game. Beginning with the 2015/2016 season, they began a run of three consecutive District Championships, earning Regional Championships and Final Four births the last two years.

Coach Magner was named News-Press Coach of the Year in 2013 and 2017. His current overall record as head coach is 123-28-2.

Outside of ECS, Coach Magner has served as an assistant coach for the Florida Fire Juniors U15 Girls and U14 Girls. He currently holds his Class E License and Goal Keeper License.

Coach Magner is a graduate of St. Cloud State University where he earned his B.A. Degree in Business Management. He has been married to his wife, Suzanne, for 26 years. They have four children, all of whom attend/attended ECS, Kianna (22), Kylie (19), Trevor (18), and Talon (14).
