Evangelical Christian School is excited to announce the hiring of Jennifer Anderson as the new ECS Head Volleyball Coach and Director of Volleyball Operations.

ECS Athletic Director Scott Guttery says, “When searching for a new coach at ECS, it is so important to find someone who’s faith in Jesus Christ leads the way they coach and relate to their players. This person must also possess a high level of skill in coaching their sport. It was also important to find someone that will be working full time on ECS’s campus and available for all aspects of directing our entire volleyball program. I am confident that Coach Anderson is the right person for the job. Jennifer has been an excellent assistant coach here at ECS for several years. She also has head coaching experience, travel volleyball coaching experience, and was an outstanding college volleyball player. She provided an exciting plan and vision for the future of ECS volleyball. I can’t wait to see where the program will go under her direction.”

ECS is coming off a 8-17 season which ended in a loss in the district quarter final. They were led by Teresa Kabel, who stepped down from her head coaching position in February. “We are so thankful for Coach Kabel’s many years of service to this volleyball program and thankful that she plans to stay involved as an assistant coach on Coach Anderson’s staff” says ECS Athletic Director Scott Guttery.

Coach Anderson will have a meeting with ECS volleyball parents and players at 5:30 pm Tuesday (4/12) in the Courtside Cafe of the Sentinel Fieldhouse.
