Coach Clint Thompson grew up wrestling in Pennsylvania since he was 8 years old. After high school he joined the United States Marine Corps Reserves and moved to Florida. While in the Marine Corps, he earned a tan belt in the USMC Martial Arts Program. In 2003, Coach Thompson deployed for Operation Iraqi Freedom, and after his deployment received an honorable discharge which began a new chapter in his life; starting a family and the pursuit of a career in law enforcement. During his tenure in law enforcement, he has attended numerous training seminars on ground fighting and received his certificate to teach law enforcement Defensive Tactics throughout the State of Florida. Coach Thompson is married with four children who attend ECS. His goal is to grow the wrestling program with the same values he and his wife set in their home; a Christ-centered lifestyle with strong footholds in discipline, respect, and strong work ethic.
